October Is Breast Cancer Month

October Is Breast Cancer Month

Hello Lovelies! How has your week been so far? I hope all is well. October is very dear to me as it is National Breast Cancer Month. Break Out The Pink! It is report via Komen.org that there will be  an estimate of 40,610 breast cancer deaths this year and 252,710 new cases of invasive breast cancer cases. That’s a little scary to me. For me Breast Cancer runs in the family on my mom side and up until a couple of months ago i never thought to do regular self-breast exams. What am i talking about you say?

A couple of months ago i had a doctors appointment and after a full physical it was discovered that my left breast felt a little abnormal. My senses were immediately on pins and needles, from there i was referred to obtain a mammogram. I am not going to lie i was terrified! The thought of possibly having Breast Cancer scared me silly. The mammogram was very professional and quick once i got pass the waiting room. Okay ladies let me say having your Ta-Ta’s pressed flat like a pancake is not the most exciting. It pinched! After the mammogram(which my mommy came with-I’m a sucker for my mommy) there was a 3 day waiting period. The worst 3 days of my life! I started thinking of my babies, my husband, my family and friends and let’s just say tears were showered. I stayed in prayer. He was the only one who could calm me down and stop worrying.

Then it happened! I got the call from the test results of my lump and it was Benign! What a sign of relief! I was soooo happy at this point but there are thousands of women who aren’t so lucky. I have had an aunt die from breast cancer and a cousin. It is hard loosing a loved one but we all can help make a difference.

That is why i love AVON! They have paired some great products this campaign and every sale goes toward AVON’s Women Foundation to support the AVON Breast Cancer Crusade programs across the U.S. They will donate 20% of all net profits up to 1 million! How cool is that

Do you have a loved one battling this annoying disease as we speak? Here are a few Scriptures that in my opinion would  be a great tool to read for yourself or that woman in need of just a shoulder.

Psalm 90

Romans 8 1-30

Psalm 27

Mark 8:35

Psalm 145:18

Comment below your good deeds this month and let’s all uplift every woman out her fighting. Get your mammograms ladies!
